Our first full day was great! We did not have any of our specials today, but the day still seemed to fly by. This morning we took a lengthy time making sure the class was aware of how to fill out their morning work notebooks and the importance of staying organized. We worked on our first math lesson, and then we went over various problems on the homework assignment so that they would know how to complete the problem sets correctly. If they do no have a highlighter at home, then they will need to transport one back and forth from school. A marker of light color will work as well. While they were working collaboratively on the remaining math work, they circulated through taking their STARS test. The score to that test is located in their home folder. This is the ranges of reading levels that they are most comfortable in. This afternoon we began our first chapter in science, and read some more of our class book, Frindle.
