What a great day to end a hectic week. We went over our reader's theater on banking in SS. We spent some extra time talking about loans, interest, and how the banks are a business too. Then we learned about our different reference sources from books to the internet. I had a symmetry art project for them to create, and they did an outstanding job. They are all hanging in the hall, if you ever stop by the school for pick ups or drop offs. They also reviewed their elapsed time with a cut and paste worksheet. Lesson 87 was our lesson today, and I went ahead and combined 90 with it as well. As soon as I feel confident with their ability with double multiplication, I will show them 5 ways to multiply. I will send home a letter so you can get familiar with these methods as well. All papers and grades will come home Tuesday. All kids should come home homework free, but they did need to complete the math supplemental 1-10.
