Brain buster day...but we made it. We read our whole first lesson in science, and they are going to have to answer the questions at the end of the lesson. Our story was a really long one, but the class seemed interested. They were able to answer my questions at the end. I took them on line to show them some pictures, baskets, and maps ahead of time. We just seemed to have a lot of new stuff on our plates today. Grammar was huge; phrases, clauses, independent clauses, and dependent clauses. Yea, and by tomorrow, we will have it down (hopefully). Together we went through 3 model transparencies, and most of the light bulbs clicked on or at least started to dim. In math we learned about situation and solution equations. They were all told to bring home their books.
Example: situation: 5P=35 or 35=5P
solution equation: 5 x 7 = 35 or 35 = 7 x 5 35/5=7

They will be tired, and the weather doesn't help.
Homework:
Math: HR 59-60
Reading: Robust sentences
Science: C101 1-3
